Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with home health experience for a post-acute assignment covering home care, hospice, and skilled nursing settings.
Responsibilities
- Work in home care, hospice, and skilled nursing facility settings
- Patient caseload is typically 5 cases per day within a 40-mile driving radius
- Responsibilities include covering both Home Health and SNF locations
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- EMR used is Remote Client
- No on-call or call back requirements
- Position involves supervising physical therapist assistants as needed
- No onsite therapy supervisor; candidates must function independently
- Mileage is reimbursed at the current government rate and drive time is billable
- Local pay rates apply for candidates living within 80 miles
- First-time travelers will be considered if home health clinicals were completed
Requirements
- Current PT license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience with at least some home health experience
- Current BLS certification required
- New graduates may be considered if home health clinical experience is documented
- Must be comfortable working without onsite supervision
- Must be able to supervise PTAs as part of the role
- Valid driver's license required and ability to travel within a 40-mile radius
