Job Description

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Operations in Thousand Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. As this is a driving post, you will operate a vehicle during patrols while remaining highly visible and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as required.
• Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and provide directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
