- Structured Schedule: The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM on-site, with weeknight call from 5:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Weekend call is also available. You must be within a 30-minute response time for call.
- High-Volume Practice: You'll handle a daily volume of 45-55 cases, split among three pathologists. The case mix includes a wide variety of surgical pathology specimens (breast, colon, derm, GYN, lung, etc.), as well as frozen sections and FNAs.
- Collaborative Environment: You will work with a team of pathologists and have phone access to sub-specialty pathologists for consultation.
- EMR System: The facility uses Cerner Fusion for charting; Cerner experience is preferred.
- Quick Privileging: The facility can grant expedited privileges in 30-45 days.
- Dates Needed: We have an immediate need for coverage on specific dates in November, December, and April, with the possibility of ongoing coverage.
- Provide anatomic and clinical pathology services in a busy hospital setting.
- Manage a wide range of surgical pathology cases, including frozen sections and FNAs.
- Be available for weeknight and weekend call.
- Board Status: AP/CP Board Certified is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a busy hospital setting is required.
- Licensure: An active Texas State License is required. An IMLC is also accepted.
- Location: Must be local enough to be within a 30-minute call response time.
- The target start date is November 17, 2025. The contract duration is 13 weeks.
