Locum Neonatologist to provide inpatient care in a 10-bed Level III NICU in Waterloo, IA, delivering family-centered care for neonates (≥28 weeks) with 24-hour on-call responsibilities and multidisciplinary collaboration. Candidate must be fellowship-trained and board certified or truly board eligible in Neonatology, with an active Iowa license or IMLC and clean malpractice/background history. Responsibilities include using medical imaging/labs, documenting in Epic EMR, and supporting family-centered initiatives across an average census of ~6 patients.
We are seeking a Locum Neonatologist to join our dedicated team at a leading medical center in Waterloo, Iowa. Our facility offers a 10 bed Level III NICU, capable of accommodating up to 12 neonates for short periods. Here, family-centered care is at the forefront, as infants remain in LDRP with their families unless further stabilization is needed. Experience a supportive work environment with a focus on delivering exceptional care to neonates, with an average hospital practice census of 6.3 patients.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide inpatient care to neonates with gestational ages of 28+ weeks.
- Engage in 24-hour on-call duties and attend to various patient needs.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration within the NICU.
- Utilize medical imaging and lab services effectively.
- Maintain detailed documentation in Epic EMR.
- Support family-centered care initiatives in the unit.
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neonatology.
- Fellowship trained in Neonatology.
- Clean malpractice and background history, with recent NPDB documentation.
- Active Iowa License or Active IMLC certification.
- Must possess an active Iowa medical license or IMLC.
- Board Certification in Neonatology is required.
