Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Cardiac Progressive Care Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Cardiac Progressive Care Stepdown and a willingness to float to like units. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to care for post-operative patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a Cardiac Progressive Care setting.
- Care for patients with a focus on post-operative recovery, especially CABG patients.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
- Document all patient interactions and care in accordance with facility protocols.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a cardiac progressive care unit.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PCCN preferred.
- Experience with large trauma level 1 facilities in the past year.
- EHR experience must be recent, specifically with Epic.
- Cardiothoracic and vascular nursing experience is essential.
- Post-operative care experience for 1 day post heart surgery required.
