This position is for a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner providing high-acuity care in a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, with some Level IV experience preferred. Responsibilities include performing critical procedures such as intubations, chest tubes, and resuscitations across multiple hospital locations, working 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling. Candidates must be licensed or willing to obtain licensure in California and should be capable of independent practice in a fast-paced neonatal environment.
Must live outside of 100 mile radius of facility
Locations: 3 hospitals within 15-20 minutes, with majority of the coverage need at one location (Level III)
Schedule: 12 hour shifts (AM/PM), per provider ideally per month. 5 full timers needed. Days and nights available. Candidates who will do both very much preferred. Will consider part time coverage
Willing to license: Yes, will look at Non- CA licensed candidates. Need to focus on CA-licensed though to meet their immediate need.
Skillsets required: At least 1 year Level III. Some Level IV preferred. Independent high acuity care, procedures like intubations, chest tubes, UA/UV lines, resuscitation
Interview Process: Director of NICU will be doing a phone interview, quick offers
Credentialing timeframe: October 1st start date, 60 days. Temporary is an option that they need to look into further.
