RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Seasonal travel assignment position
• 5:1 patient ratio during night shift
• Work on busy 33-room medical floor with up to 49 patients
• Care for medical telemetry patients with specialty focus on surgical flap patients
• Provide care for spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Partner with burn unit to care for low-acuity burn patients
• Perform wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Some semi-private rooms utilized when hospital census is high
• Must have BLS certification and Med/Surg background experience
• Preferred experience working with spinal cord injury patients
• Ideal for RNs who enjoy working on busy medical floors
