Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU position requiring a MA RN license, pediatric critical care background, and CHD experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a CVPICU (Pediatric Cardiac ICU) within an acute care, Magnet-recognized hospital
- Care for pre- and post-operative pediatric patients with congenital heart disease
- Rotating day/night shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7:30a), with a 50/50 day/night split or the option for permanent nights
- Weekend work required for 3 out of every 6 weekends
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to MSICU, MICU, NICU, and ACCU may be required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Patient population includes pediatric critical care and congenital heart disease cases
- Work in a Level I Trauma, Level III/IV NICU, and teaching hospital environment
- Pre- and post-operative care for complex congenital cardiac conditions
- Solid color scrubs required (any color); OR scrubs provided when needed
- Parking benefits vary by shift; free parking for night shift staff
- Travelers living within 50 miles are considered locals and receive a different rate
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Minimum 2 years' recent pediatric critical care experience
- Experience caring for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease in a critical care setting
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
