A Radiology Physician specializes in diagnostic imaging primarily focusing on CT scans, plain films, MRI, and ultrasound, with an emphasis on body imaging. They are responsible for reading all imaging studies during their shifts without deferring work to subsequent radiologists, handling an average workload of around 80 studies per weekday. The role serves adult and geriatric patients, excluding nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast imaging.
They do a mix of MRI, CT, ultrasound, and plain films. It will be a good mix of each, heavier on the CT and plain films. No nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast. We prefer a body imager.
The expectation is that they read everything that comes in during the shift and not leave any work for the next radiologist on duty
The adult diagnostic radiologists wRVUs average about 14,000 per year. They read an average of around 80 per weekday, on weekends.

ADULTS (18+ OLDER) AND GERIATRICS
