They supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure the accuracy and safety of all medication orders while maintaining professional competency. This role involves direct patient care to optimize pharmacological treatments and requires a licensed pharmacist with a degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
Overview:
Staff Pharmacist 7on7off, FT, Piedmont Columbus Midtown
Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Qualifications: Education- Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy Required
