- Unit: Perianesthesia - 4 Rhodes / Doan (PACU)
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: April 27, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2040 - $2090
- Hours per Week: 40
- Shift: Night shift; 2x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) and 2x8-hour shifts (23:00 - 07:30) per week
- Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Unit Size: 20 beds; daily census 30-50
- Self-scheduling available
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio RN license required)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with electronic charting systems
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to provide two professional references (manager, director, supervisor, or charge RN)
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate post-anesthesia care in a busy PACU setting
- Monitor and assess patient recovery: vital signs, pain management, and consciousness levels
- Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV and central lines
- Utilize advanced nursing skills: telemetry, ventilator care, dysrhythmia recognition, and management of ventilated patients
- Provide care for surgical specialties: bariatrics, cardiac, neuro, ortho, vascular, and more
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response, lift teams, interpretation services)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using electronic health record systems
- Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill weekend/holiday coverage as required
