- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 2/28/2026)
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 on nights (acuity dependent)
- Patient Population: Cardiac Telemetry, Vascular, Med-Surg, Post Cath, Post Pacemakers
- Ancillary Support: PCAs, unit secretary, phlebotomy
- Scrubs: Navy blue
- Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification (required)
- Dysrhythmia Exam (required; study guide available)
- Travel nursing experience not required
- EPIC EHR experience (preferred)
- Critical Care Course, CCRN, or PCCN certification (preferred)
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Heparin, Insulin)
- Monitor and manage lines, drains, and devices (PICC, dialysis catheters, PEG tubes, ostomies, foleys, chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs)
- Provide advanced airway management (Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, Heated High Flow, nasal cannulas)
- Read and verify telemetry strips once per shift using EPIC EHR
- Serve as a patient safety advocate and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families, coordinate care, and support coping with illness or injury
- Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies
- Maintain professionalism, practice self-care, and uphold privacy and infection control standards
