Interventional Radiology Nurse, full-time 36 hrs/week, weekday shift, onsite in Ohio; ongoing/permanent role with 24/7 call rotation after orientation. - Current RN license in Ohio - Graduate of accredited nursing program - Strong assessment and rapid intervention skills for decompensating IR patients - Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) - Excellent verbal/written communication and time-management

Summary:

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs care for Interventional Radiology patients with a family-centered focus. Scrubs, circulates, and assists with Interventional Radiology cases. Participates in Nursing and department PI activities. Serves as a resource for clinical problem solving for the Interventional Radiology staff, students and other healthcare providers. Uses knowledge and experience as a basis to provide patient care information for patients and families. Represents Interventional Radiology on various committees. Rotates call duty 24/7 after orientation.

Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and direct care for Interventional Radiology patients.
    • Serve as a resource for clinical problem solving for the Interventional Radiology staff
    • Represent Interventional Radiology on various committees.
    • Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
  2. Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and time management skills required.
  3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
  4. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
  6. Possesses excellent assessment and rapid intervention skills for the Interventional Radiology patient that may decompensate during the exam.
