Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Stevens Point, WI We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Stevens Point, WI. This position is ideal for physicians with experience in both Emergency Medicine (EM) and Urgent Care (UC), offering a great chance to work in a high-volume, combined emergency and urgent care department. The role is available ASAP and will be ongoing, providing long-term stability and flexibility for the right candidate. Key Details: Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (No Call) Practice Setting: Inpatient only, no outpatient responsibilities Holidays Covered: Labor Day, New Year‘s Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Day, 4th of July, Christmas Eve (half day commencing at noon), and Thanksgiving Day EMR System: Cerner Responsibilities: Shift Details: Variable shifts available: 6 a.m. ??? 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. ??? 6 a.m. seven days a week. Double coverage shifts: Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. ??? 10 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 11 a.m. ??? 10 p.m. The locum will typically be scheduled for a 12-hour shift. FTE Requirement: The facility needs 2 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) physicians, with one FTE covering 11 shifts per month. Patient Volume: The emergency department and urgent care combined see an average of 140 patients per shift. Department Beds: 38 total beds in the combined ED/UC. Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC): APC support is available in urgent care from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., with several overlapping shifts. Qualifications: Board Certification: Physicians must be ABEM certified to qualify for this position. Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Licensing Requirements: There are no specific licensing requirements to bid, but physicians must be licensed in Wisconsin. Temporary Privileges: Available for qualified candidates, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days for clean files.
