This is a 13-week locum tenens position for a board-certified endocrinologist providing outpatient endocrine care with a low-intensity patient load focused on geriatrics in a major academic health system in central Connecticut. The role features a fixed hourly rate inclusive of malpractice, travel, and lodging expenses, eliminating administrative burdens and allowing focus on clinical duties. The schedule is full-time, weekdays with early finish times, designed for predictable workload and improved work-life balance.

Reality Check: This rate is your take-home budget. The value proposition is the elimination of logistics and overhead costs, allowing you to focus purely on clinical care.
This is a manageable, outpatient-only assignment focused almost entirely on Geriatrics, ensuring a predictable clinical environment.
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Mon - Fri, with an early close time: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM.
Duration: 13 Weeks (January 9, 2026 April 9, 2026). Potential for extension based on need.
Workload:Extremely controlled volume. You are limited to a maximum of 10 patients per 4-hour session.
New Patients: 40 minutes allotted.
Follow-up Patients: 20 minutes allotted.
Average: 20 patients per day. This is a low-volume, low-intensity pace.
Setting: 100% Outpatient Endocrine Clinic (Diabetes, Thyroid, Adrenal, Pituitary, etc.).
System: EMR is EPIC.
We prioritize local candidates, but all those meeting the core requirements below are considered.
Active Connecticut Medical License.
Board Certified (BC) in Endocrinology.
Minimum 3-5 years of Endocrinology experience preferred.
Onsite Requirement: This is an onsite position.
Protected Time: The strictly limited patient volume (max 20/day) ensures low burnout and high-quality charting time. This is your primary benefit.
Administrative Zero: Malpractice, travel, and housing are completely handled and consolidated into the rate. You manage zero logistics.
Early Finish: Consistent 3:30 PM end time offers substantial afternoon free time and work-life balance.
