The Interventional Radiologist combines diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures such as biopsies, catheter placements, and fluoroscopy exams. The role involves reading diagnostic worklists and performing approximately 12 interventional radiology procedures and 10 fluoroscopy cases per week. The physician works full-time with a schedule of Monday to Friday and requires licensure recognized by the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Job Title: Interventional Radiologist (with Diagnostics)
Location: Dover, OH
Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm
Commitment: Minimum 1 week per month for 6 months (option to extend)
Licensure: IMLC accepted LOQ must be in hand
Role Overview:
This position combines Interventional Radiology with general diagnostic responsibilities. The physician will perform a broad range of IR procedures and read from the general diagnostic worklist when not in procedures or fluoro.
Modalities:
Required: General CT, General MRI, X-ray, IR, Fluoro
Reads from general worklist when not performing procedures
Case Mix & Volume:
Variable mix of inpatient, outpatient, and STAT reads
Workflow is old-to-new to prevent cherry-picking
Typical volume: studies/day with 50% cross-sectional when not doing IR
Expected to read between procedures as appropriate
Procedures:
CT/US-guided biopsies and drainages
Chest tubes, thyroid FNA, LPs, myelograms, paras/thoras
Neph tube placements/exchanges, suprapubic catheter placements
Lung, liver, kidney biopsies
PICC, port, and dialysis catheter placements
All fluoroscopy exams
Approx. 12 IR procedures/week + 10 fluoro cases
