Job Description
The cardiac intensive care unit is seeking experienced nurses for a challenging yet fulfilling role. RTO after booking is not allowed and any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and manage care plans.
- Administer medications and IV fluids, including titration of cardiac drips.
- Manage patients post-cardiac procedures and handle cardiac emergencies.
- Interpret EKGs and manage dysrhythmias.
- Assist in the preparation and recovery from various cardiac procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
- Traveler experience preferred unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Preferred skills include arterial line management and charge experience.
