This position seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Endocrinology Physician with 1-3 years of outpatient clinical experience to diagnose and treat endocrine disorders near Locust Valley, NY. The Ideal Candidate:
- Clinical Experience: One to three years of endocrinology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.
- Diagnostic Skills: Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of endocrinology conditions with a focus on improving patient outcomes.
- Competency: Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety.
- Patient-Centered Approach: Exhibit a patient-centered approach, fostering a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation:
- Review patients history and perform a physical examination, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
- Conduct physical evaluation and diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment and patient care plan.
- Endocrinology Care:
- Diagnose and treat patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions related to the endocrine systems.
- Provide comprehensive, cost-effective diabetes care with the available support of CDE/RD services.
- Management Recommendations:
- Recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.
- Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
- Patient-Centered Care:
- Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patients psychosocial and physical needs.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
- Share on-call phone answering responsibilities with other Endocrinologists, presently on or about every six weeks rotation basis.
- Educational Participation:
- Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent.
- Residency: Completion of three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
- Fellowship: Completion of two-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited fellowship program in the area of practice (e.g., Endocrine, Diabetes, and Metabolism Medicine).
- Experience: Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.
- Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
- License: Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license.
- Registration: Must possess Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
- Enrollment: Must possess Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
- Certification: BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Communication Skills: Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
