- Coverage type: Clinic + Call
- Shift options:
- Ambulatory clinic only, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM - Full-scope generalist 24-hour shift, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM - Rounding: 7:00 AM-9:00 AM - Clinic hours: 9:00 AM-4:00 PM - Call: Pager call 4:00 PM-7:00 AM (sign out to Laborist at 4 PM; remain on pager)- Practice setting: Inpatient + Outpatient
- Patient volume: 16-18 per shift
- Support staff: RN, 1-2 MAs, 2 APPs, 15 office staff
- EMR: Cerner
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
Clinical Details- Low- and high-risk pregnancy management
- Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB ultrasound - viability and anatomic studies (preferred)
- Amniocentesis
- Routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and c-section decision-making
- Complicated deliveries including c-section, breech, multiples, abruptions, and VBAC
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Office gynecology including IUD, colposcopy, cystoscopy, cryo, LEEP, endometrial biopsy
- Full surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
- Major operative cases including ectopic, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA
- Laser not required
Requirements- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Indiana license or IMLC
- BLS
- Hospital privileges required
- Comfort with full-scope OB/GYN including major surgery and high-risk care
- Experience performing office procedures such as IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal, colposcopy, biopsy, and NST evaluation
