Job Title: Invasive Cardiologist - Locum to Perm
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly qualified, Board-Certified Invasive Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiac care on a locum-to-permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:- Provide inpatient, outpatient, and call coverage, including participation in scheduled call rotations (typically 1:6).
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to invasive cardiology, including catheterizations, echocardiography, EKG interpretations, and other interventional procedures as required.
- Manage adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
- Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers (APPs), including responsible oversight of four APPs during clinical duties.
- Document all patient encounters accurately within the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:- Board Certification in Cardiology, with specialization in invasive procedures.
- Valid medical license to practice in Virginia or eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Proven experience in invasive cardiology procedures, including EKG interpretation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Credentialing process estimated at approximately 120 days.
Schedule & Coverage Details:- Coverage needed as soon as possible until a full-time provider is onboarded.
- Clinical schedule: Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities.
- Average patient volume: 10 outpatient clinic patients daily and approximately 12-15 inpatient admissions per day.
- Support during recruitment phase with locum coverage, after which a permanent position is available.
