Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit with an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience required.
Responsibilities
- Position is located in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Care for patients requiring short-term observation in an emergency department environment
- EMR used is Epic and experience with Epic is required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Candidates must not reside within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties or within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- No local candidates from specified counties or within the 50-mile radius are eligible
- Competency testing required for ICU and MS applicants, with two attempts to pass
- More than three call outs during a 13-week contract may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks of the last call out
- Requests for time off must be submitted with the application
- Medical scrubs are required
- Travel pairs are not permitted
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the emergency department specialty
- Current certifications from AHA or RQI must be provided
- Epic EMR experience is required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Flu vaccination required with only medical exemptions accepted if signed by a licensed professional
