Emergency Medicine Physicians at VES conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily for veterans, involving interview-based evaluations and limited physical assessments. These physicians work on a PRN basis either traveling to VES facilities or scheduling veterans at their own practice locations, with no prescribing or treatment involved. The role requires proficiency in musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular evaluation, METs testing, and timely submission of standardized reports via a secure portal.
VES is seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.
Current Openings:
Provider s own office locations- Provider must have their own office
- Kevin Devil Hills, NC- 1 day per week needed
- Murphy, NC - 1 day per week needed
- Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans.
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Two (2) options for coverage
- Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility
- Schedule Veterans within your own practice
Willing to accept these specialties:
- family medicine,
- internal medicine
- orthopedic surgery,
- anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified- Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before starting
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, and cardiovascular
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
- AANP
- Active and unrestricted full license
- Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
- CV needs current home address listed for presentation
- Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country.
