Position Details: Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Key Responsibilities: Practice Setting: Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring a seamless continuum of care. Participate in patient rounding, with responsibilities in both the hospital and clinic. Schedule & Availability: Scheduled Hours: Average of 2 weekends per month, with 8 onsite hours per weekend. Call Duties: First call responsibilities included as part of weekend coverage. Patient Care: Deliver expert cardiovascular care, managing both scheduled and emergent cases. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Handle admissions and provide ongoing patient management during hospital stays. Requirements: Board Certification: Required in Nurse Practitioner specialty. Licensure: Must hold an active North Carolina license. Certifications: ACLS: Required BLS: Required Experience: Previous cardiovascular surgery experience is highly preferred. Fellowship: Preferred but not required. Additional Information: EMR Systems: Proficiency in Cerner and Athena systems required. Privileges: Provider will require hospital/surgery center privileges; temporary privileges are available.
