An Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician providing comprehensive care for women, including management of low and high-risk pregnancies, performing deliveries, ultrasounds, and gynecological surgeries. This role involves addressing staffing shortages at a regional medical center in Clyde, NC, delivering both routine and complex obstetric and surgical care. The physician is required to be board certification eligible, handle patient encounters in clinic settings, and have ACLS certification.

Facility:
This regional medical center serves the healthcare needs of Haywood County and surrounding communities. The facility features an 11-bed OB department and is currently experiencing staffing challenges with providers on FMLA and pending licensures, creating an immediate need for qualified obstetrics support.
Opportunity:
Board Certification Eligible - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide coverage for an OB clinic experiencing staffing shortages, initially for specific dates (9/1, 9/2, 9/11, 9/25) with ongoing needs as staffing stabilizes
• Handle 2-5 patient encounters per shift in clinic setting
• Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted)
• Perform amniocentesis procedures
• Handle routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries
• Make decisions regarding c-section necessity
• Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• VBAC deliveries preferred but not required
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Perform surgical gynecology procedures including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Conduct diagnostic and operative procedures including tubal ligations, LOA's, chronal tubation
• Handle major operative cases including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Must have ACLS certification
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-60 days
• Various lodging options available
