This locum tenens pediatrician role in Washington involves providing outpatient care at a community health center serving vulnerable populations including migrants and refugees. The position requires board certification or eligibility, an active Washington license and DEA, and proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records. The provider will work full-time, seeing up to 18 patients daily, with travel and lodging expenses covered by the client.
Job Overview Job ID: Specialty: Pediatrics Start Date: As soon as credentialed. Provider presented should be available to start within 4 weeks. Exception will be made for providers who have previously worked with Sea Mar. Contract Length: 3 months, possibility to extend Shift Details: 8a-5p, 40hrs/week. 8 hour work day with 1 hour unpaid lunch. Schedule: Monday-Friday Work Details: Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, most clinics have an onsite pediatrician and local health care administrator they will submit timecards to. Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: FT. 40hrs/week. Patients per day: Will be scheduled to see up to 18 patients. May be less depending on cancellations, etc, but should be comfortable with higher volume and fast paced. Patient Population/Age: Newborns-Age 18. Provider should be comfortable working with all ages. Department Description: Community Health Center. Providers must have experience in these settings or express interest to work with vulnerable populations. They service migrants and refugees and have interpretative services available on site. Provider is not required to be bilingual, but would be a plus. EMR: EPIC Skills Required: Expected to hit ground running. Will be a 1 week ramp up with onsite orientation but will be expected to begin patient care by day 3. Practice Setting: Outpatient ambulatory setting- Community Health Center Travel Logistics: Specific travel client will pay for: Flight, rental car or mileage and lodging. Requirements: Board Certification: BC or BE License Required: Active WA license required. Will not consider non-licensed candidates DEA: Active WA DEA required Certifications Required: Will be discussed at time of credentialing. If any certs are required, provider will be responsible for obtaining. (BLS, ACLS, etc.) Minimum Experience Required: MUST have clean background. No malpractice will be considered. Must be experienced with EPIC. Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks All providers will require name clear. Must be covid and flu vaccinated
