Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with WI or compact licensure, BLS (AHA), and at least 2 years of OR experience for a travel assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Surgery department of a hospital setting
- Primary focus is on perioperative care in the OR with possible cases involving robotics
- Flexible 4x10 hour shifts, typically 09:00-19:00 or 10:00-20:00, based on OR volume
- On-call required: 1-2 nights during weekdays and every 4th weekend, plus call hours on holidays rotating with regular staff
- May require floating within skill set onsite or to facilities within 40 miles as needed
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred
- Responsible for circulating and scrubbing duties as needed in the OR
- Call and holiday coverage is shared with regular OR staff
- May occasionally float to other perioperative settings within skillset or nearby locations
- All travelers considered for auto offer with reduced rates for locals per radius rule
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Travelers should notify managers well in advance if considering extending their assignment
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required with current Nursys verification
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
- BLS certification required (must be from AHA)
- Robotic and scrub nurse experience is helpful
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and a US home address
- Copies of license verification, two professional references, and driver's license required for consideration
