Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a KS or compact license, 2 years' experience, and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
- Labor and Delivery unit in a critical access hospital setting
- High-risk labor, vaginal delivery, forceps/vacuum, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care cases
- Sterile speculum and vaginal exams, NST, reflex checks, and external fetal monitoring performed
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:00
- Every third weekend coverage required
- Expected to become independent after the second shift
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, forceps/vacuum deliveries, C-sections, and neonatal care as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be comfortable working independently in a critical access environment
- Two professional references required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver’s license and Social Security number required
Requirements
- Active KS or compact state RN license held, not pending
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Ability to perform IV starts, medication administration, pain and postpartum management, and surgical case support
