Job Details:
• Work in a fast-paced Neuro ICU at a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma facility
• Every other weekend required and holidays per policy
• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures
• Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association required
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients
