Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license and advanced certifications to work day shifts and cover the Christmas holiday.
Responsibilities
- Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes critical care and intensive care cases
- May float to Telemetry units based on census needs
- Uses specialized equipment such as IABP, Impella, and PIRRT (preferred)
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 11:30-23:30)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call as needed based on census
- Must be available to work Christmas
- Only one holiday request will be approved for time off
- Must complete required modules during orientation, which are recorded through e-learning
- Responsible for providing critical care nursing and clinical leadership within the ICU
- Will supervise and direct assigned personnel and delegate patient care as appropriate
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience required
- Previous travel RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of accepting the offer
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Return staff must be gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler
