Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation position requiring at least one year of recent experience and an active SC or Multi-State Compact PT license.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based outpatient rehab unit setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Possible holiday coverage
- May float within scope to meet facility needs or to sister facilities
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation
- Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based therapy plans to a diverse outpatient population
- Scrub attire required in pewter color
- Free parking available for staff
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Compliance modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
- All requested time off must be included at application; approval is based on facility need
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Active SC or Multi-State Compact PT license required at the start of contract (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required; AHA certifications only
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must not be first-time travelers
- Applicants must reside outside a 60-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted
