CVIUC RN - Cardiac Care Unit

ScheduleNight shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays and weekends.
Job DescriptionThe CVIUC RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Cardiac Care Unit, specializing in cardiothoracic surgery patients including CABGs, open valve replacements, and more. The role requires a focus on direct fresh open-heart admissions from the operating room, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
Responsibilities- Direct care for patients post-cardiac surgery including monitoring and management of vital signs.
- Administration of cardiac drips and management of open-heart surgery patients.
- Perform arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, and manage ventilated patients.
- Utilize expertise in Swan-Ganz and Impella monitoring.
- Conduct continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) as needed.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a critical care setting.
- Experience with direct open heart admissions from the OR.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS (certifications must be via American Heart Association).
- WV or Compact RN License - Pending license acceptable.
