The Medical Assistant will support a family practice by managing patient flow, documenting patient information, obtaining specimens, and assisting providers with clinical procedures and examinations. The role requires accurate record-keeping, timely order entry, and performing office procedures such as EKGs as directed. Our Family Practice in Charlton is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are: Monday through Thursday 8:15 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Maintain timely patient flow.
- Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
- Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
- Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
- Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
- Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
