American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IR PACU position requiring ICU experience and pediatric patient care.
Responsibilities- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with a focus on Interventional Radiology (IR) cases
- Care for patients in phase 1 recovery, including pediatric populations
- Rotating start times of 0600, 0700, or 0800 based on unit needs
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week
- Required to stay late 3-4 times every 6 weeks
- Perform comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia in an IR setting
- Primary responsibilities include monitoring patients in phase 1 recovery and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Must be willing to obtain PALS certification prior to employment if not already current
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be based on the unit's schedule
- Active KY or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- IR PACU experience with competency in phase 1 recovery required
- Experience caring for pediatric patients required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; PALS must be obtained prior to start if not already held
- Candidates living within 75 miles are not eligible
