Description:
CT Technologist Position Schedule Details
- 4x10 hour shifts
- Monday through Thursday, 8pm-6:30am EST
- On call, callback, holidays per unit needs
Duties and Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
- Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
Requirements
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position)
- Two (2) Years' Experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Siemens Scanner Experience (6 months minimum)
Preferred
- Injection certification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
- Epic Experience (1 year highly desired)
