Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Determine scope of work and identify key requirements.
Source and obtain accurate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
Prepare detailed estimates including materials, labor, and subcontracted work.
Review bids for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
Submit completed bids on time and maintain follow-up communication.
Meet and contribute to departmental sales goals and key performance metrics.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful project handoffs.
Participate in continuous improvement processes across the estimating team.
Support junior estimators and team members in understanding drawings and scope.
Analyze and revise cost estimates based on performance feedback and project outcomes.
Assist in material takeoffs, pricing validation, and scope clarifications.
Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of commercial estimating experience.
3 years of sales experience preferred.
3 years of hands-on woodworking experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Bluebeam and PDF tools.
Experience in reading and interpreting 2D drawings and visualizing in 3D.
Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
Experience with Innergy software is a plus.
