Schedule and Availability- Minimum of 5 days per month is required
Full-Scope Generalist (Clinic + Call)Daily Structure:
Scope: Full-scope OB-GYN generalist work including ambulatory clinic, call coverage, admissions, and assigned/unassigned rounding patients
Clinical DetailsOn-Call Generalist Responsibilities:- Labor management of admitted laboring patients/ scheduled induction of labor/ scheduled cesarean sections in collaboration with the laborist
- After communication with the Laborist who agrees to take over labor management, evening and weekend back up of the Laborist with availability to be in the facility for patient care within 30 minutes. When patient volume necessitates transition- the Generalist will also remain in the facility while on call
- Postpartum/postop rounding/discharge of admitted OB and GYN patients
- Perform circumcisions for infants on postpartum
- ER evaluation and management of OBGYN patients who require surgical intervention
- Round on antepartum OB patients during weekdays
- Serve as the point of contact for critical patient concerns in the ambulatory setting/ in basket management of urgent patient needs
