Job Summary:This position is responsible for planning, directing, organizing and coordinating radiology services for all assigned facilities. Serves as a subject matter expert and acts as the technical resource for the region in designated specialized area. Responsible for the design and oversight of highly reliable imaging operations including accountabilities for quality of care, quality of members experience, affordability, standard work and employee, experience and competence. Accountable for role modeling principles defined in KP Mission and Standards and creating a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Direct radiology operation by planning, implementing and monitoring short and long-term actions consistent with the organizations mission and strategic plan and the departments mission and strategic objectives. Integrate radiology service goals with the goals of the organization
- Responsible for and monitors imagings performance on key indicators to include affordability, quality and service.
Weekend on call rotationsBasic Qualifications:Experience- Minimum five (5) years of clinical radiology experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience in a clinical radiology setting
Education- Bachelors degree in radiological science, healthcare or a related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration- Nuclear Medical Technologist Certification (Hawaii) from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Radiologic Technologist Certification OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography
Additional Requirements:- Working knowledge of clinical computer systems, PC computer skills, and Microsoft Office tools
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory (state and federal) agency requirements and professional practice standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the function of a radiology
- Thorough knowledge of principles of supervision, management, personnel management, financial analysis and budgeting.
- Experience in financial management, program development, quality improvement and project management.
- Demonstrates customer-focused service skills.

- Continued involvement in national, state and local professional organization(s).
- Proven ability to organize and manage radiology operations
- Demonstrated strengths in decision making in a consensus environment and collaborative management style.
- Kaiser Permanente experience
- Masters degree in radiological science, healthcare or a related field.
