Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. The RN is responsible for promoting patient and employee safety through various safety initiatives and policies.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
- Provide patient information and status for Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
- Utilize the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Communicate any changes in patient status to team members effectively.
- Delegate and supervise ancillary nursing personnel.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment for staff and patients.
- Assume charge responsibility as requested.
- Engage in professional development and continuing education.
- BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift.
- ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY).
- Minimum of Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience is highly desired.
