Lifeguard

Paid certification training provided; earn $17.50/hr while working outdoors this summer. Seasonal Lifeguard role at an amusement waterpark. Full- and part-time shifts, weekend and holiday availability required. Location: Six Flags waterpark. Contract: seasonal (summer). - Must be 15+ for Shallow Water License - Swim 50 yards, retrieve 10 lb weight from 5 ft, swim 10 ft underwater (prereqs) - Complete and pass Ellis & Associates certification tests at 100% - Basic rescue, first aid, CPR knowledge - Strong verbal communication and flexible availability

Pay Rate: $17.50/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Six Flags provides & pays for all certification training.
• Ability to work in an environment as fast-paced as our water slides.
• Will complete and maintain Ellis and Associates training and certification.
• Pass certification tests with 100% accuracy.
• Understand basic rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR.

Qualifications:

• Must be 15 years or older for a Shallow Water License.
• Must be able to pass pre-requisite skills: Swim a distance of 50 yards, retrieve a 10lb brick from a depth of 5ft, and swim a distance of 10 feet underwater for Shallow Water License.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
