Now Hiring: Travel Pharmacy Technician
Location: Concord, MA
Schedule: Day shift | 7a – 330p & possible shift 11a – 730p | every 2nd to 3rd weekend with shift of 7a – 330p
Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintains proficiency in all areas of the Department of Pharmacy Services within the scope of a pharmacy technician job responsibility
• Prepares medication in unit dose packaging and labels medications using repackaging software.
• Performs routine rounds to patient care floors to deliver medication and miscellaneous supplies.
• Assesses assigned medication storage areas for outdated medication, cleanliness, and appropriate stocking.
• Fills automated dispensing machines using barcode technology.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to support the pharmacist in service of the needs of institutional patients.
• Assist in all areas of the Pharmacy Department as time permits from scheduled assignments.
• Performs required pharmaceutical dosage calculations necessary to prepare sterile and non-sterile preparations.
Qualifications:
• Active MA state license
• National certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required
• Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
• American Heart BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year experience with compounding is preferred, but not required
