American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of home health experience and a MA SLP license for a home health position in Pittsfield, MA.
Responsibilities- Home health setting providing speech therapy services to clients in the community
- Caseload consists of patients requiring language, communication, and swallowing interventions
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams
- Day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8 hours per day
- Weekend coverage required every 4 to 6 weekends and holiday coverage as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Responsible for direct patient care, contributing to patient assessments, and developing comprehensive care plans
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- Orientation includes 8 non-billable hours
- Must adhere to a maximum of 5 days of requested time off; additional requests after submission will not be approved
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- Holiday coverage is required as needed
- Must provide recent work history, a relevant skills checklist, and one supervisory reference from the past two years for consideration
- Current and valid Massachusetts Speech and Language Pathologist license (license required if applicable)
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Clinical Fellow candidates will be considered
- Minimum 2 years of SLP home health experience
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required
- Experience with rehabilitation equipment such as language/communication aids and wheelchairs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Acute care experience preferred
