Sutter North Medical Group (SNMG), a premier multi-specialty medical group located just north of Sacramento, is seeking a Generalist OB/GYN to join our thriving team.

This is a rare opportunity to practice in a supportive, physician-driven environment with excellent work–life balance, strong surgical support, and robust community demand.

Board certified/Board eligible

Practice Highlights

  • Flexible clinic schedule with a standard 4.5-day week (alternative schedules such as 4x10s supported).
  • Average daily volume of ~25 patients, with autonomy to increase based on preference.
  • Efficient scheduling templates (15/30 or 10/20 minute visits).
  • Current practice mix: 60% OB / 40% GYN.
  • Team of 6 experienced OB/GYNs and 2 advanced practice providers (NPs).
  • Mid-levels assist with C-sections and may attend deliveries at the patient's request.

Surgical & Delivery Support

  • Deliveries are performed at the local hospital.
  • GYN surgeries/procedures at Sutter Surgical Hospital.
  • Da Vinci robot is available and fully supported.
  • Reliable block OR time with minimal scheduling barriers.
  • Strong delivery volume

Call Schedule

  • Call rotation: 1:6, evenly distributed among physicians.
  • Weekend call: Friday through Sunday (typically covers OB and GYN patients).
  • Weekday call: Rotates among providers; call responsibilities are shared fairly.
  • Clinic during call: Physicians generally continue to see patients in the clinic while on call, with the flexibility to adjust hours or take a post-call day off if needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive income guarantee: Up to 2 years, with transition to production.
  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $20,000.
  • Relocation assistance: Up to $20,000.
  • Residency stipend: Up to $3,000 per month for up to 24 months while in residency.
