Job Opportunity: Medical Oncologist in Grand Rapids, MI
Join us in the beautiful city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, at a leading outpatient cancer center dedicated to providing exceptional care for adult and geriatric patients. Our practice emphasizes specialized oncology and hematology treatment, focusing primarily on lung cancer while also managing general hematology cases. You'll be part of a dynamic team of six physicians and ten Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), all committed to clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care in an outpatient oncology setting.
- Attend and participate in a Tumor Board.
- Order tests, images, and prescribe medications necessary for patient care.
- Conduct required procedures such as FNA/Biopsy.
- Manage an average patient load of 8-16 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.
- Provide hospital rounding support with an average census of 22 patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
- Active Michigan Medical License (Highly Preferred).
- BLS Certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology REQUIRED
- Active MI License HIGHLY PREFERRED
- BLS Certification REQUIRED
