This position is for a Board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist to join a new inpatient facility in Pennsylvania, focusing on evaluating and treating child and adolescent patients. The role involves inpatient rounding, psychiatric consults, and participation in teaching medical and allied health trainees. The expanding state-of-the-art hospital includes specialized units for adolescent, adult, and geropsychiatry care and will offer an ECT program and psychiatric residency training.

Join an existing group for the expansion of a new inpatient facility. The state-of-the-art facility will have an eight-bed adolescent unit, 24 bed adult unit and 12 bed geropsychiatry unit.
Child and adolescent services include Board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who is also boarded in pediatrics. There is also a CA nurse practitioner. The Department is involved in teaching family practice residents, medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and social work interns. A psychiatric residency program will be initiated once the hospital is built. An ECT program will also be added.
The psychiatrist will be evaluating and treating a child/adolescent population. Anticipated patient load would be 18-20 patients per day. This will involve rounding on the inpatient units and seeing psychiatry consults in the Medical Center.
Board certification and 5 years of experience preferred. New graduates also considered.
