Job Summary
Woodhull Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse – Nurse Educator to support the Nursing Inservice Education department during a current educator's FMLA leave. This role focuses on providing clinical education, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality nursing practices across units.
Job Duties
- Provide nursing education, in-service training, and clinical support to staff
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs
- Support onboarding and orientation for new nursing staff
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and address staff educational needs
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Strong, solid clinical background
- 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (required per schedule notes)
Preferred Experience
Master’s degree in Education (strongly preferred)
Previous Nurse Educator or Nursing Education experience (preferred but not required)
Required Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification of RN License through NYSED
AHA BLS
