Overview: A renowned independent academic medical center located in the south suburban Chicago area is seeking an accomplished General Surgeon dedicated to providing superior patient care while actively engaging in the education and growth of future medical professionals. The candidate should possess extensive expertise in general surgery and a strong commitment to evidence-based clinical practice. Role and Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive surgical care, encompassing both elective and emergency procedures. Maintain a commitment to safe, equitable, high-quality, and cost-effective patient-centered care. Participate as a key faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Surgery residency program, focusing on the teaching and supervision of residents. Support curriculum development and contribute to resident and program evaluations. Engage in scholarly activities and foster a culture of mentorship and professionalism. Qualifications: Board certification in General Surgery is mandatory. A minimum of 3???5 years post-residency clinical experience is required. Experience in medical education, including resident teaching and program administration, is essential. Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
