Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of neuro and vascular IR experience and current ARRT-R, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an interventional radiology unit in a hospital setting
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Schedule includes required weekend and holiday shifts, as well as on-call responsibilities
- Expected to float within the specialty as needed
- On-call approximately 5 shifts per 8-week schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays
- May encounter a mix of neuro and vascular interventional radiology cases
- First-time travelers will be considered if they demonstrate a strong skill set
- All candidates must be comfortable floating within scope of practice with no restrictions
- Local candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Return travelers must have been away from the system for at least 6 months
- Former staff must have been gone for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Holiday coverage is required as scheduled by the unit
- Required to complete non-billable modules as part of onboarding
- May be required to obtain CPI certification as part of compliance
- RTO must be declared at time of initial consideration and cannot be altered after offer
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent neuro and/or vascular interventional radiology experience required
- Current MD state or Compact license required for consideration; license required if applicable
- ARRT-R certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Willingness and ability to float within the specialty
- Two professional references from recent employers required
