The Neonatology locum tenens opportunity in Mississippi
Location: Mississippi - 25 miles from Alabama
Duration: August 28 - ongoing
Reason for coverage: need additional coverage.
Schedule: 1 full week/month
Shift: Physicians will provide 24-hour call coverage (rounding and in unit daily)
Call: 24-hour call from hotel overnight.
Patient volume: TBD
Scope: Level III NICU; They no longer have an oscillator but do have CMV, high flow, and bubble CPAP. They do not have cooling, surgery, or ECMO. Keeping babies 26 week and up or 600 grams and up as long as they are stable not requiring surgery. Neonatologists assist NNP s with assessments if we are extremely busy and make rounds, but that all can be delegated to NNP if they prefer. Providers would be expected to attend high-risk deliveries.
EMR: Epic
Affiliated Hospital: level 3 trauma facility with a 12 bed level 3 NICU
Group/support: NNP coverage 24/7 in house
Requirements: Active MS license (will consider IMLC but not their preference). Board certified or truly board eligible
