Travel Radiation Oncology Therapist
Location: New York (NY license required)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
Required Qualifications:
Licensed Radiation Therapist in New York (may obtain during onboarding)
ARRT certification required
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Technology program meeting ARRT registry requirements
The Radiation Oncology Therapist administers ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist in accordance with New York State Department of Health Code Part 16. The therapist must safely operate high-voltage machinery, promptly report equipment malfunctions, and consistently ensure patient safety and comfort. Professionalism, precision, and adherence to radiation safety protocols are essential.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and in alignment with established standards
Accurately input and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record
Interpret computerized treatment plans correctly
Monitor patients daily for treatment reactions and promptly report concerns to the Radiation Oncology Nurse or Oncologist
Assist with complex problem-solving related to technical or equipment issues
Maintain professional conduct and support the well-being of radiation oncology patients
Follow all radiation safety regulations from NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO
