American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a dual Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab role requiring at least two years of ED or ICU experience and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab departments of a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital
- Patient population includes those requiring urgent and emergent interventional procedures, such as Code Stroke, STEMI, trauma cases, and IR Body procedures
- Scheduled for 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call, weekend, and holiday coverage are required
- Every third weekend is generally required, but this may vary
- Float between Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab within scope of practice
- Epic EMR is used; experience is preferred but not required
- Solid color scrubs are acceptable; light blue scrubs are also provided on the unit
- Provide and recover patients for urgent and emergent interventional procedures, including sedation and anesthesia recovery
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment
- Must not request time off during orientation week and should keep requests to a minimum
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rates as travelers
- Holiday coverage is expected as part of the scheduling rotation
- Active WA or compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ED or ICU nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience in a trauma or teaching hospital is preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster are required with no exceptions
- First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
- Prior UW staff must have a separation period of at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
